Coolest “Green Cast” Spongebob Cake

My husband’s best friend has a 7 year old daughter who broke her arm 3 days before her birthday party. I was already making her a sponge bob cake that week when her father requested if Sponge Bob could have a green cast to match his daughter’s cast.

Here is how the “Green Cast” Spongebob Cake is created: Sponge Bob is a rice krispy treat, iced with royal icing and decorated in marshmallow fondant. The bottom is a 12×12 chocolate cake with milk chocolate filling. The outer part of the cake is blue buttercream . The pineapple house and “Bikini Bottom” life ring is fondant.
