This Coolest Spongebob Cake is fairly easy to make, I used a 10 x 15 sheet cake pan. After the cake has cooled, you cut out arms and legs for Spongebob and make sure you have a nice rectangle for the body. Next I took black icing and drew the lines of Spongebob so I could have a boundary for the icing. Next I used the size 16 star tip and star tipped the entire cake with the colors I wanted to use. I always let the cake stand for 10 minutes before I transfer it to a wire rack to cool.
This is a fun cake to make for kids birthday parties. I made this one for my daughter’s fifth birthday and she absolutely loved it. I used gel icing colors on buttercream icing. I used yellow, blue, red, brown, black, white, and I used a light brownish green color for Spongebob’s spots. It took me about 6 hours to make this cake.
