I made this cake for my friend’s 6th birthday.
I printed a large picture of Spongebob and it helped me a-lot during the decoration process. (I tried to make it as similar as possible to the original character.
I used yellow food coloring for the body & blue and red food colors for the eyes, water bubbles and mouth.
The black and white colors are from vanilla & chocolate Instant Pudding powders-for the shirt, eyes and pants.
I used red cake sprinkles for the tie.
The hands & legs are made of Yellow suger dough.
The most difficult part was his nose-I took a small piece of cake and used apples corer to create the roll shape, I made a small hole in the cake (with the apple corer as well)-near the eyes and dyed it in yellow.
It took me at least 5 hours to decorate it but I was very pleased from the final result.
