Adorable Homemade Monster Cakes

My monsters were turning 2 and 6 respectively and I call them the monsters because as every mum would know, raising boys can be beautiful and disastrous. However we love them no matter which one it is. So a combined party meant a theme that would suit both and what better than monsters.

I wanted simple individual cakes as having a party with about 60 people can be quite strenuous and I they decided on their cakes after showing them some pictures.

The cakes were a sponge chocolate and vanilla with buttercream. The teeth and horns were made from modelling chocolate.

It’s always a great idea to cover the cake boards with colour paper to give it that extra spark.

The monsters had a monstrous party and eat all the cake without any crumbs!!!
