I love crafts and any kind of DIY projects! This is what lead me to create my cakes. I went to collage for art but ended up changing my major because I thought I wouldn't get a job related to art. Fast forward 10 yrs and here I am. It started with my nieces cake. I was put in charge of it but no one could make the one i wanted so I decided I could make it. I studied you tube and how to work with fondant. I took classes online also. I created my first baby bottom cake. The diaper was made out of rice crispy and fondant. I shaped the legs and little toes from fondant and placed it on top of cake as a cake topper. The trip to deliver it was absolutely hilarious. I was a wreck. I remember driving so slow and every bump I hit, I just knew it was going to end up all over the inside of my truck. I never get angry at drivers but that day if someone had slammed their brakes in front of me... I would have lost it. Looking back now I just laugh at myself. I arrived at baby shower with a huge sigh of relief. No one could believe I had made a cake that looked like that. I loved the wow look on their faces. I then started making them for friends. I got more calls and text to create special memories. It snowballed after that. I work a full time job and do cakes in my spare time. I use it as a great stress relief. My favorite part and so thankful for is the ability to help make those memories and seeing the kids faces when they see their special cake for their special occasion.
