This awesome Yorkie cake was baked in the teddy bear stand up pan. I trimmed the ears to be pointed and cut the belly down a little. I put some icing on the ears so they would be smooth and made black eyes and nose. I used rolled/filled wafer cookies and measured them for the front legs. I used the 233 tip to start the hair on the dogs chest and then covered most of the wafer cookie while holding it so I could get the icing all the way around the front leg. Then place the legs.
I then covered the rest of the cake/dog hair. I then made a bow from ribbon (the only part not edible). I made this cake for a Yorkie club I am in and we have potluck meetings once a month. This was my dish to pass and everyone loved it. We always put our dogs hair in bows and ribbons and clothes. I am going to try this again but try to make a dress with fondant (never really worked with fondant before).
