Baby Einstein Caterpillar Cake
When I decided to have a Baby Einstein party for my son’ s first birthday with the focus being on the caterpillar, I did a Google search and found this site! I decided he NEEDED a Baby Einstein Caterpillar cake even though I don’t really bake and certainly don’t decorate cakes. I used the Wilton Sports Ball pan, we had 4 different kinds of cake (1 whole yellow cake for the 3- D head, 1 chocolate, 1 strawberry, and then his smash cake, the mini cupcakes for the legs/tail and extra cupcakes were all a confetti cake).
We started with regular gel food coloring but the red was coming out pink so we ran to the store and bought the Wilton food coloring for the red and blue. Be warned the Wilton’s red will stain!
