I made this cake for my nephew’s 1st birthday – his father is a painter so they chose Baby Van Goat for the theme of his party. I believe this is a 12-inch cake.
The Van Goat on the top of the cake was done free-hand and the little splashes of paint is chocolate. I placed the melted chocolate in a pastry bag and just kind of made little squiggles on wax paper – when it’s dry, you just peel it off and place it on the cake with a dab of buttercream.
