Well this is really not about the actual cake but the more about the decorations on the cake and how I came about getting them since they were no longer available in-store anywhere, you see, my son wanted a Bob the Builder theme for his 5th birthday. The problem was not getting a cake with the theme, but the problem was getting the decorations for the cake. I have my own home based, crafting business, so I took some materials (Foamy) and started making the machines from the Bob The Builder Series. I started with Dizzy, the cement mixer, and from there worked on making all five (Rolly, Muck, Lofty, etc.) Once I finished making all of the machines, I ordered a cake with a sprayed on design and place each of the pieces on the cake. For the table decorations I took a blue tablecloth and covered a 2’x6′ table and put red, yellow and orange, streamers, and balloons around it. I also took some constructions stickers and placed them on the streamers and around the cake display mirror. It was a total hit, everyone loved the way the cake looked and most of all, I gave my son the Bob the Builder Theme birthday party he wanted without spending a fortune.
