This is a white cake with creamy vanilla filling and buttercream icing and fondant claws on the side of the cake. This was for a nine year olds birthday. I was told that he loves tigers and this is what I came up with. I chose a tiger picture off the internet of a tiger face and just recreated it on the cake with a #3 round tip. I included the picture that inspired me and that I copied from! I hope you enjoy the cake!

Tiger Picture Cake

I created this white tiger cake for my husband who loves tigers of all kinds. I used the Wilton “Jungle Lion” pan. I outlined all features around the face and ears with black icing from a tiger picture that I copied. Then I star tipped the entire cake white except for the eyes which are sky blue. Then using a “grass” tip I created the black stripes for the tiger.

This cake is not my best work but I enjoyed doing it and my husband loved it!

My daughter Rebecca loves the “original” A.A. Milne character illustrations and for this birthday she wanted the original Tiger. We found a few illustrations and then she sketched the tiger picture that she wanted. I suggested the cloud and night sky since she was having a sleepover party with her friends.

The cake is an ordinary large rectangular yellow sheet cake and I made a batch of buttercream frosting. The colors are all Wilton pastes. To add a bit of sparkle we put silver dragees in the stars and on the cloud. Since I had some frosting left over after completing the Tiger I made alternating flowerets around the base as a border.

Tiger Picture Cake

I copied this cake from a tiger picture. I used a round cake and 4 cupcakes. The round cake was the main. I cut the top off of 2 cupcakes and put them on the round cake for a 3D effect where the muzzle would be. The other 2 cupcakes were the ears.

I frosted it all with orange frosting then used black gel for the stripes and the mouth. The inside of the ears were chocolate grasshopper cookies with a little cut off. The end of the nose was the same as the inside ears. Eyes were green Spree candies with black gel for outline. Whiskers were black licorice rope pieces.

Tiger Picture Cake

I made this tiger picture cake using a butter cake packet mix. I just used an ordinary cake tin. The key to it tasting awesome is using Vienna cream icing. I used licorice for the stripes and fake eyes!

Tiger Picture Cake

This is a tiger face cake; I used the Wilton animal cracker cake pan. I used tip #16 for the black, and orange, and tip #3 for the pink. I had to trim down the ears to make it look more cat-like. All in all it took about 45 minutes to decorate, but it turned out pretty good.

Tiger Picture Cake

I made this for my son’s good friend who was having a party at the Zoo. First I baked a 10-inch round cake. I tinted buttercream orange, pale yellow and black.

Crumb coat the cake with pale yellow and swirl in orange, yellow and white eventually. With a toothpick, outline the tiger face. Pipe the outline with black icing and fill out the face with orange, pale yellow and white icing gradually. I used bright yellow fondant for the eyes so they stand out. Its very simple, and it can be turned into any animal.
