I made this Hello Kitty cake for my niece’s 8th birthday. I used an 11X8 pan to carve out Hello Kitty’s face. I covered the cake with marshmallow fondant. I also made the facial feature and bow out of fondant painted with food coloring.

I used a picture I found searching for a Hello Kitty coloring page as a stencil for this cake. I enlarged the picture and used it to cut out the shape of the cake. The Hello Kitty cake is decorated with buttercream.
