Cool candy-shaped birthday cakes – M&M Anti-Gravity Cake
This M&Ms anti-gravity cake was a practice run for me to see how it would turn out. To make the cake, I used a balloon stick with the plastic clip “glued” to the cake board with melted chocolate. I placed 3 pieces of floral wire in the upside down balloon stick and trimmed to length. Next, I baked 2 – 9 inch round cakes, gently sliding them one at a time over the stick once they cooled. Cool candy-shaped birthday cakes – Cool Gumball Machine Cake
I made this Gum Ball Machine cake for my grandfather’s birthday one year. I had seen something similar online and had been dying to try my own version and this was my first opportunity. The top is an 8 inch round. The bottom is an 8 inch square cut slightly angled at the sides. The red parts could have been fondant, but I have never worked with it before, so I chose to use the sheets of colored edible frosting. I stuck gumballs on the top.
