My 5 year old son designed this cake for his baby brothers 1st birthday, it was quite easy to make. i used 2 Wilton 9 inch rounds for the main and then used bon-bon wrappers to make little cup cakes for the caterpillars circles. the hardest part was frosting the mini cupcakes because they were very fragile. i than frosted the whole cake in white and used bright primary colors to make the caterpillars body and matching accent dots down the sides. i also made a mini three layer cake for our baby to use as a personal smashing cake. i made it using a 3 inch cupcake then a 2 inch and then a 1 inch cupcake on top. i iced it white and used the same primary colors to put dots all over it.
