This cake was made as part of a course i am doing. We were just given dome cake and we had to come up with the idea. I had made a doll cake for my daugher when she was 5 and thought I could do it much better now. I used a wilton doll cake pan with a doll pick. I used a basic fruit cake to make the body and then lined it with marzipan and then fondant. I made the frills on the skirt using modelling paste and a garret frill cutter.
I think it came out great and I auctioned it for charity and it raised nearly £300
