I was asked to make a cake for a co-worker with only a two day notice! I wanted to present something that was beautifully made and was going to make a lasting impression. When I was told it had to be a Monster High Themed Cake I immediately knew I wanted to make a doll cake. I baked a simple vanilla cake and a chocolate cake, nothing fancy just plain old good. I wanted to use a cake that I was already familiar with so that I could tackle the decoration with plenty of time.
I stacked a layer of vanilla cake and then the chocolate cake. I wrapped the doll in plastic wrap and pressed her in the middle of the cake. I dirty iced the cake with my cream cheese frosting and then I placed the sugar sheet. From there I used a star tip to decorate the rest of the cake.
I absolutely loved it, she was perfect, she was me! Ok, maybe not me but I loved her until the person that ordered her refused to take her and pay me for her because he had later decided to buy from a supermarket and failed to let me know. I will leave out the ugly, ugly details and leave you with my beautiful Diva Draculaura Monster High Cake!
My Grand Daughter just loved the Monster High cake and asked me to make it for her birthday, what or how did you make the ‘black thing’ behind the doll ??? and thank you.
