I make special cakes for my grand kids for their birthday. When my own kids were little I made cakes for them too. I was so excited when my son asked me to make my grand daughter’s cake for her first birthday! I always ask the child what theme they would like. We then look on line for ideas and they help me decide how to make it.
This year for my grandson’s 4th birthday we made a Spiderman cake. He helped to make the cake and the frosting and watched me mix the colors. I incorporated the fondant frosting in the last couple that I made. I really enjoy using it to enhance the design.I always add toys to the cake design which then becomes part of the gift!
