This 1st Birthday Cake Idea is a yellow sheet cake. For this size cake I used 2 cake mixes. The frosting is buttercream homemade. I used the frosting recipe from Wilton, modified just a little. I like to put more vanilla or butter flavoring in mine. I copied the design from a napkin. I just copied the design free hand and came out with this. I think it turned out great and so did the customer.
I used different sized star tips to fill in the design after I drew it on the cake. I used bright Wilton colors for dying the frosting.
