Coolest 3D Elmo Cake

I made this 3D Elmo Cake for my Elmo loving niece for her birthday. From the neck down, cakes are stacked and carved into the shape of Elmo. The arms and legs are made of rice crispy treats. I used a grass icing tip to make it look like fur. There is a dowel rod through the entire cake and attached to the cake base.

The head is made from cutting out the shape of the mouth in a Styrofoam ball. I used small Styrofoam balls cut in half and covered with fondant for the eyes and nose. Needless to say, it was the talk of the party by the kids and adults.
