I made this Angry Birds chocolate birthday cake for my son and his friend who have just turned 6. The cake is gluten-free as my son has just been diagnosed with Celiac Disease. The cake contains buckwheat flour and ground almonds in place of regular flour. It was lovely for my son to be able to enjoy a birthday cake and for his friends to eat gluten free without even realizing it.
The cake was sandwiched with Nutella and then I coloured ready made white icing to make the birds.

how did you make the sling shot?
Sling shot made by wrapping icing around pipe cleaners (so not entirely edible!)
