Cute Baby Girl Diaper Cake

I made this with my daughter for her teacher’s baby shower. We used 60 pampers size 2 diapers and rolled them individually. This is a three tiered cake (although the top layer is covered by the bear blanket). I’ve lost track of how many of these I’ve made, but with the experience come some helpful hints:

* A paper towel roll is the perfect size for the center of the homemade baby girl diaper cake. Tape it to the cardboard base for extra stability.

* Pick a theme and stick to it.

* Make sure you have another set of hands when it comes time to tie the diapers together to make the layers.

* If it is traveling, cover in plastic or tulle.

* Keep the packaging to any accessories you open and put it in a gift bag to give to the parents (so they have the cleaning/care instructions).
