The design for this Baby Girl Rattle Cake came from a shower decoration I saw at the local party store. It is a homemade strawberry and pistachio nut cake tinted pink using a touch of Wilton’s red coloring. The frosting is whipped cream made from scratch and tinted using Wilton coloring as well.
I had a difficult time frosting with the whipped cream in the heat of TX, but made it through by sticking the cake in the fridge every 10 min or so. I added a touch of sparkle with sprinkles accenting the violet and pink areas.
I love this! Did you carve the whole shape, or did you use a round cake for the top & then carve the handle from a sheet cake?
