I made this Baby Shower cake for my friend Lisa’s baby shower. The cake had four color layers and two flavors. I used vanilla and yellow Betty Crocker cake mixes and separated the batter from each cake into two. I used food color to color the batter before I baked it.
The flowers and the baby are made out of fondant. I bought a fondant mold for the baby and I used a very small cutter for the flowers. There are a lot of on-line guides on how to create big flowers like the one I had in the middle. I watched one on You Tube and I was surprised how simple is to make a flower. I also spelled out the baby’s name with cookies and made colorful girlish onesie cookies for favors.
