Coolest Baby Shower Cupcakes

These baby shower cupcakes were made for a baby shower given for a friend of mine who was pregnant with a boy. I used a cupcake stand to display them. They were raspberry-filled white cupcakes with fondant babies and blankets on top.

I used a round cookie cutter to cut all of the blankets the same size and a Wilton shape punch to make the blankets look like quilts.

For the babies, I just made the little round heads to poke out from under the blankets. Then, I drew little faces on the baby heads with edible markers. Some were sleeping and some were awake and smiling. (I thought about making some of the babies crying, but we try to focus on the fun and exciting part of becoming a parent at events like that, right?)Then I just arranged them all on the cupcake stand and added a ribbon.

Of course, everyone loved them.
