Coolest homemade Barbie Doll Birthday Cake Drip Design

This Barbie Doll Birthday Cake Idea I made for my daughter’s 4th birthday. I took a few weeks looking at different cakes (MANY on this site) and came up with my own. I didn’t really know how I was going to make the dress part, but, standing in the store I got the idea to use a 4qt. mixing bowl that’s oven safe. It worked well. But it took about 2 hours to fully cook 3 boxes of cake mix. I spayed the bowl really good with cooking spray to make sure that the cake would come out easily. Flipped the bowl upside down and let it cook for about 3 hours.

I placed the Barbie inside the cake. She’s a little to tall so I put her legs in on an angle (I didn’t want to have to cut the feet off) then frosted it. Frosting was very easy!!! I microwaved the frosting just enough that it would “run” down the cake. Poured strawberry icing on the cake in a few layers to give the riffle look. Then one time around with vanilla frosting on top. Last I put some sparkle sprinkles on top and around the very bottom to give some sparkle and I was done.
