My boys ages 9 and 3 have birthdays within a week of each other. They decided they wanted to have a baseball party this year. So we rented a field to play on, the invitations were written on balls for them to hand out to their friends.
The cake was a baseball birthday cake. I printed a baseball field guide online. I used brown sugar for the dirt. I used two half sheet pans for the base and a half ball cake pan for the ball itself. And added peanuts just for creativity!
