This Beauty Cake was made for my daughter’s 30th birthday. The makeup was made using colored fondant, the tops of the nail polish bottles were held in place using spaghetti and edible glue, the mask was made by covering a mask with rolled out fondant which was left to dry for about a week.
It was then painted using edible paint, the cucumber slices are also fondant cut out using a scone cutter. The handbag is a 10″ Victoria sponge cut in half and sandwiched together with butter cream. I put a strip of colored fondant across the curved part of the cake then used white fondant to cover the rest, leaving the colored strip exposed. I cut notches with a knife to look like a zip and cut a quilt effect also with a knife and added silver balls for decoration.
A very easy cake to make.
