I made this beehive cake for my son’s 2nd birthday party. The theme was a “Bee-day”! I used the Wilton wondermold, and white frosting for the base, dyed light brown. After I smoothed the base and let it set, I indented the lines in with a rubber scraper.
The flowers and entry are done with Wilton tube frosting with a small round tip. The bees are done by using a small round tip and squeezing while holding it in place to create a bee-sized glob. After that sets a bit, I put the stripes on, then the wings. The wings are used with the same tip, just layered a lot until it stands up a bit. The bottom border is a star tip, with white dots in the middle to look like a flower.
Pretty simple!
