Sweet Homemade Yellow Belle Birthday Cake with Edible Glitter

My daughter Lily wanted a Belle Birthday Cake for her 4th birthday party. I used the Wilton wonder mold pan with a homemade cake recipe. I wanted to use a “real” Belle Barbie sized doll so I did put the cake on top of two foam rings to prop it up a bit. I made my own marshmallow fondant and after coating the cake with a layer of buttercream, I rolled the fondant into tear shaped pieces and draped them around the cake form.

I then added edible glitter and pearls to make it a bit fancier, as well as the original skirt that the Belle doll was wearing to give it a finished look. It got rave reviews at the party and my daughter loved it.
