My daughter Angel asked for a Big Pink Castle Birthday Cake for her 9th birthday. The cake was pretty easy. I used 4 Valentine confetti cake mixes,3 boxes would do, had an extra cake that I froze. Cake took a lot of frosting. I used 3 1/2 cans for the crumb coat and to frost the cake. Gel food color was used to color the frosting.
The bottom portion of the cake was made with 3 layers and the top portion was 2 layers. I piped stripes of frosting on the sugar cones and coated them with sanding sugar. The cones were topped with conversation hearts. Pink strawberry marshmallows and pink sugar wafers were used to further decorate the cake.
My daughter and her friends were very pleased with the cake. It was very cute and tasty!
