My daughter wanted a Birthday Princess Castle Cake for her birthday. I was torn between whether to do an actual princess or a castle. After looking through this site, I decided a castle would be more “Wow!”….It took some time to get this done and I used tips from a few of the submissions here, but all in all, it was great fun and a hit!
I used a large sheet cake for the bottom and a loaf pan for the top of the cake. I used the old fashioned wafer cones (Soft serve cones) for the tower bottoms and the sugar cones for the tops. I coated the cones with a layer of thin frosting, then rolled them in edible sparkles. I used mini marshmallows for the “stones” on the towers as well.
Seemed like it would be easy enough to do, but some of it was a bit tedious and frustrating. When it was finished, I was proud of myself and my daughter was so happy! That was all I wanted or needed.
The cake was beautiful, very creative, and tasty too!
You did a beautiful job on this Birthday Cake.
Very Well done !!!
