My friend was having her second baby and we did not know boy or girl. I used two round cakes for the head and body. I iced each cake and let it sit for 10 minutes. I went back and smoothed the icing by patting a non textured paper towel on the cake. I used Wilton Fondant for the diaper, cheeks, ears, arms, nose, belly button, etc.
To make the diaper roll out a big piece of fondant cut one side straight across. Lay it across the cake and trim around the circle once it is in place. Make sure when mixing your color to do it slowly. You do not want the arms to be darker than the body. When all your details are on the cake plug a pacifier in the babies mouth!
