Our baby girl’s name is Isabel, but we cal her “Busy Bee.“ Naturally, her first cake had to be… a bee!! I used the Wilton Sports Ball cake pan for the head, a heart shaped pan for the wings, and a 3D Easter egg shaped mold for the body. I always trim and freeze the cake pieces a day ahead, as this make the cake easier to assemble and frost.
The body is slightly propped at an angle on the wings. I frosted the wings white first, then did the body with a star tip. I did the head smooth with yellow and then used a writing tip for the details. Pipe cleaners made the antenna, and there you go!
