I decided on a bunny cake for my daughter’s first birthday, as she was born close to Easter last year and as her favorite sleep toy is also a bunny. The “flat bunny” was a carrot cake for all the adults, and then “sit up bunny” (picture not included) was plain white for her and all the kids.
I used green food coloring to color the coconut grass. I tried to decorate using various candies, but found that it was much easier to write/draw using colored icing squeezed from a small plastic sandwich bag, the corner of which was cut off to make a small hole.
