I made this butterfly cake for my little girl’s 1st birthday. I made the actual cake from a Wilton cake mold. I decorated the sides first and then outlined the body and wings. I filled in the remainder of the cake with stars.
I made the frosting using the Wilton’s buttercream icing recipe on the instruction manual. It took about four cups of icing to decorate. I added some almond extract instead of vanilla and it tasted really good.
