Bake a 9×13 chocolate (dirt) cake for this Camping Tent Birthday Cake. Frost it green, very smooth. Build tent using chocolate pop tarts, pretzel sticks and brown frosting. Make a circle of brown frosting and add campfire, using chocolate rocks, pretzel sticks and orange/red frosting.
Fill one sugar cones with frosting, pipe out “needles” using star tip and stiff green frosting. Place on cake. Then fill two more sugar cones with frosting but insert these with pretzel rods (press all the way into the cone). Decorate with “needles” and place these into the cake. Add sprigs of grass on top of cake as well as to make your top and bottom borders.
Finish by adding black icing to your ladybug (red m&m) and bumblebee (yellow jellybean and almond slivers). Place on cake and you’re done!
I love your cake. It is so simple but looks awesome. Did you actually fill the entire ice cream cone with frosting? did it not start falling out the bottom?
I loved your cake can you give me more details!

i was looking for a simple camping birthday cake idea for my sons party. i really love this one. Thanks.
I like it
I wanted to say thanks for such very great instrustions on your cake. I just made it last night for my son.. with a few additions (small pond and some animals, and a boy and his stuffed
bear sleeping in the tent. It looks great and was a breeze.
My original cake plan went to crumbs (literally) coming out of the cake pans(new recipe). So, I had to rethink my plan and used your cake as inspiration. Your details were very helpful. I did your cake and then added some other things. Thanks.
