I found the recipe for this Candy Corn cake on a website that emails me recipes. I thought I would give it a shot and it actually turned out pretty good. I used 2 9 inch round cake pans with 1 box white cake mix. I iced both layers of the cake with chocolate icing and then when it came time to decorate the top to look like candy corn. I made a batch of butter cream icing and set aside enough for each color of and tinted them the appropriate colors.
I did a shell border around the bottom for a more finished look and for the top I used a star tip the same size for each of the colors. To finish, I took several pieces of candy corn and added some to the sides of the cake. Enjoy!
