My daughter and I saw a cake similar to this one on this site. With no instructions available, I decided to forge ahead and try to replicate this Castle Birthday Cake for her 5th birthday party.
The base is two layers made in my largest springform pan. The “castle” was baked in two small cake pans and the towers were baked in two pint-sized, widemouth canning jars and topped with frosted waffle cones. My daughter and I made the shell candies in molds with white chocolate and colored melts and the Ariel topper and dolphins were purchased at a local cake shop.
The final result turned out great. Different from the picture on this site, but similar in structure. It was a big hit with the party guests and the guest of honor.
