This is a Castle Birthday Cake I made a few years back. Used the house cake pan for the main part of the castle, sugar cones to make the top of the towers and trees and multi colored candy wafers to shingle the roof and the windows in the castle. I used the string pearl beading around towers and door frame. If I remember correctly the drawbridge is just brown frosting.
The castle is frosted with regular royal white frosting. The trees was a special egg white whites and cream of tartar (it’s in the Wilton book). You have to let those dry to harden before setting into place but great effect.
Well that is pretty much it. My daughter loved it. She is now 11 and the cakes she request are more difficult!
