I made this Homemade Castle Birthday Cake Design for a friend at work. The cake is chocolate cake, the towers are crispy cake and is all covered in fondant icing.
The towers are icecream cones rolled in butter icing then rolled in sparkly pink glitter. The green leaves and flowers are painted on with food colouring. That is great to cover any mistakes with the fondant icing.
