The bottom tier of this Castle Birthday Cake Design is a 2 layer 12 inch cake filled with butter-cream. The top layer is a 2 layer 6 inch also filled with butter-cream. I choose the 6 inch for the top to give plenty of room for the sugar cone towers. I smooth iced both layers and used a texture plate to add brick detail.
Everything else is piped on with butter-cream icing. The torrents are large marshmallows held on with royal icing. Just for a little extra sparkle, I added some white and pink edible glitter all over the tops of both layers.
