I’ve recently discovered that I have a talent in baking. My latest challenge was from my friend for me to make her a Castle Birthday Cake Design for her 23rd birthday. At first I thought it would be very hard and stressful, after a bit of research looking on the computer at different recipes I thought I’d take up the challenge.
To make my cake I baked a large Victoria sponge for the base and a small one for the top. Using 4 Swiss rolls for the towers around the sides and ice cream cones for the tops, which I dipped in icing and covered in pink sprinkles at the bottoms. Then I decorated with buttercream icing by adding a few drops of pink food colouring into the buttercream, then used sweets to make the finishing touches.
I thoroughly enjoyed making it and my friend enjoyed eating it! I am already looking for my next cake challenge!
