This Chanel handbag cake is made in an 8in round cake tin, then cut cake in half and placed flat sides on cake board. I carved the bottom of the sides of the cake to give more of a bag affect.
I covered the cake with white fondant icing, marked the quilt pattern and the zip into the icing, used black icing to make piping and handle. Gold edible paint for zip and Chanel badge. Make the make-up and other items in advance so they set hard (made with colored fondant icing).
