My wonderful husband is a die hard cubs fan. So for his 30th Birthday I made him a Chicago Cubs Cake.
I used the Betty Crocker Bake and Fill pan. Followed the directions they give you to make a sports ball. We filled this cake with Chocolate ice cream. If I had to do it again, I would do all cake. For the ice cream not to melt, you had to keep it in the freezer. Which made the icing freeze, and we weren’t fans of that. Nonetheless, it was great!
I used the Wilton gel dye to color my homemade frosting, and piped away. The Cubs Logo I did freehand. But I did use a picture of the logo for reference.
This is definitely a cake my husband will never forget!
