This was my homemade Christmas Holiday cake.
I used a 10″ round pan and made a marble cake, which consisted of a yellow box cake and a chocolate fudge cake mixed together. I put vanilla pudding in the middle of the layers.
The cake was frosted with white canned frosting and then decorated with Wilton’s buttercream. Everything on this cake was edible. I took ideas from cakes on here and cakes on line and created this one.
The tree was made out of a large waffle cone, shaped and decorated with frosting to make a white christmas tree. I used a #16 tip for this and pulled the icing to make it look like a tree. I put the tree in the center of the cake.
I then took rice crispies, formed them into little packages and then frosted them with the buttercream frosting. I let them harden a little to smooth the frosting, and then added them to the scene.
To make the snowflakes and small white christmas trees, I melted Wilton’s decorating chocolates in a writing bottle, sprayed a metal cookie sheet with Pam, and then drew the snowflakes and trees with the chocolate. I put them to harden in the fridge for ten minutes and then just pulled them off the pan. Pretty simple!
I then decorated the cake with the blue canned icing, using a #3 tip, in accents on the presents and tree!
Love this, I’m going to have a try. If it turns out half as good as yours I’ll be pleased
Absolutely gorgeous! I tried it–modified a bit, and it was a huge hit!!
