Pretty Homemade Cinderella Birthday Cake

I made this homemade Cinderella birthday cake for my daughter’s 5th B’day party, she loves the disney princesses. I used a Dolly Varden cake tin and then decorated it with ready made icing, I rolled it out and coloured a small section light blue and a larger section dark blue, I also made the pumpkins, cushion and flowers out of the same icing.

I applied a thin layer of Wilton sparkle gel over the dress when it was finished, to give it a sparkly shine. The doll I bought had the bodice already painted on, I removed the legs and skirt. I did some research on the internet and in cake books seeing which ideas worked and what would look good. My little princess loved her homemade Cinderella birthday cake!
