My friend and I were inspired by a few Cinderella cakes on this site, and figured we give it a try for my daughter’s 4th Cinderella birthday party.
We used the marshmallow fondant, which was very easy to make and very easy to work with. For the fondant we used a 160z. marshmallow bag and 2lbs of confection sugar. We added 2 tablespoons of water to the marshmallows and microwaved it for 30 seconds then stirred and put back in for 45 seconds until it was all the way melted. Then we added the 2lbs of confection sugar. If your are coloring your fondant add the color to the marshmallows before adding the sugar then add a few more drops once you’ve added sugar and started kneading.
Grease your hands and work area with crisco. Then you start kneading the ingredients together until its formed into a smooth ball. Grease well and wrap in plastic warp then place in ziplock bag. We did this the night before and let it sit in the refrigerator overnight.
Let it sit out and reach room temp before trying to roll out. It was a lot of fun making it also! My daughter loved it!
That is the coolest cake ever!
