For her 4th birthday my daughter begged for a Cinderella party. After looking at several options she decided she wanted a Cinderella cake with a doll in the middle. I was a little intimidated at first because all the pictures I saw looked so fancy.
After making this cake I can honestly say this was the easiest cake I have ever decorated for one of my kids birthday’s. I used one bundt cake and one 9 inch round cake under that to make it tall enough.
I got a Cinderella bath time Barbie doll for the center. I wrapped saran wrap around the bottom of the doll to keep it from getting dirty (which was also a birthday present!) First I applied a crumb coating of frosting and then the final layer of blue tinted frosting for the skirt after the crumb coat was set.
I then used mini marshmallows for the white trim on her dress. I accented the cake with small Cinderella figures and had Cinderella napkins and plates. We made magic wands for an activity and had tiara’s for the birthday hats. My daughter was thrilled with the results and totally enjoyed her Cinderella party.
this is a great idea thank you for sharing!! :)
