My daughter, Haleigh, wanted a Cinderella Doll Birthday Cake for her 5th Birthday. I searched and searched online for a cake that I thought I could make myself. After researching several sites, I found the instructions for the perfect cake on www.howdini.com. They showed a video of how to assemble the cake with step-by-step directions, as well as, ideas on how to decorate it. They showed a “princess” cake, so all I had to do was to adapt it to Cinderella. I highly recommend watching the video online so you can see their very helpful and useful tips.
I used three boxes of white cake mix and three cans of white frosting (that I tinted with blue food coloring). I bought some white edible pearls, blue accent icing, white accent icing and blue sugar sprinkles. I’m sure it would have cost about $40-$50 at a bakery but I was able to make it for around $15. I already had the Cinderella doll, so that was a savings!
It was a lot of fun to make and turned out really cute, if I do say so myself!
