This Communion cake was made for a little girl’s First Holy Communion. It needed to serve 75 people. The cake was a basic white cake recipe made from scratch.
The icing was fresh-made buttercream. The bow and flowers were all fondant brushed with luster dust. The Cross was a separate cake layered on top of the sheet cake base. The pure white icing on the cross was accented with white edible glitter.
