Cool Homemade 2D Cookie Monster Birthday Cake

I made this Cookie Monster Birthday Cake for my son’s 2nd birthday. He absolutely loves Cookie Monster. After looking at many Cookie Monster cakes on this site I printed a picture of Cookie’s face and then shaped his body around the face.

I made 1-13×9 cake and 2- 9 inch round cakes. I cut the face out of one of the round cakes and cut the other round cake in half and placed it next to the 13×9 cake to make his body. I used the Betty Crocker buttercream recipe for icing and Wilton royal blue coloring with the grass tip. I made a large chocolate chip cookie for cookie to hold from regular cookie dough!

My son absolutely loved it as well as all the other kids at the party!
